Thursday Movie Picks Meme: Movies With an Ensemble Cast

Since I have noticed Wendell's post about this idea last week, I decided that it would fun to put about this week meme, which is mainly about ensemble casts in movies and I will put in three films that have a bunch of amazing actors and actress in a film.

12 Angry Men

The casting in this movie is perfect. Every single juror in the film makes this trail much more interesting and the see the points of jurors change whether the boy should be guilty or not guilty makes this film a acclaimed classic that everyone remembers based on all of the twelve jurors in the movie.

The Dark Knight

The casting of this film is pretty remarkable for a Batman film because they are usually not a lot major stars in this movie in most of the Batman movies that were created before Nolan's decided the reboot the franchise. The acting from everyone who was in  Batman Begins  improved since most of cast members who were in the movie were getting the hang of playing their own roles in the Dark Knight Trilogy, but the acting from Heath Ledger made this film as iconic when it comes to comic book movies and that why this movie is in the ensemble  cast for this meme.

Star Wars IV: A New Hope

The castings in the film was pretty unknown back in the 1970's until this movie became a box office hit, but when you think about how famous all of these stars are today, you can easily say that they had a major ensemble cast that they have used throughout the original trilogy, which is pretty remarkable when it comes to how popular Star Wars is. Without George Lucas and the casting people, we probably would have not heard of Star Wars at all.

  1. Interesting choices, though I would have thought that Batman was the protagonist of The Dark Knight and if anything Luke was more or less the protagonist of A New Hope with the ensemble cast developing in the following movies.

12 Angry Men is of course a classic. I did love the way all the jurors played off of each other. Henry Fonda might have gotten the top billing but really all of them were equally important if only because they all had to agree on a verdict on way or another for the story to conclude.
